How does the subscription work?

The answer to that depends on the subscription model you choose. You can choose how many pairs (30 or 90) and the frequency (every 28 days, 56 days, etc). We send multiples of 30 in multiples of 28 days to minimize the chances of unexpectedly running out of daily lenses. You can change - or even cancel - your subscription configuration at any time by logging into your account.

I don’t use contact lenses every day. Can I change my subscription to fit my needs?

Absolutely. That is a pretty common thing, so we allow our customers to effortlessly change their delivery frequency on their account page.

Do I need a medical prescription to make an order?

We just need the power of each eye, not the full prescription. If you don’t know the required power of each eye, we can help you find an optician to perform an eye test. We also encourage you to do an eye test regularly to ensure you have the correct number for each eye.

What is your return policy?

If there is a problem with your order, or if you want to return your HAWKERS contact lenses for any reason, simply contact us through our contact form. You can return the contact lenses, only paying for the return shipping. Unfortunately, we can’t accept returns if the box has been opened, as we then have no way of ensuring that the lenses haven’t been damaged in any way. For example, if your prescription has changed and you receive a new pack of HAWKERS, you just need to send back the unopened box and we’ll ship out a new box to fit your new prescription. At HAWKERS, we want you to be happy, so don’t hesitate to contact us if you are unsatisfied in any way.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, of course! You can cancel your subscription at any time through your customer account area.

Can I change my subscription? How?

Yes. In your customer account area you can change your details and your delivery details, skip a delivery, etc. If there is anything else you want to do, but can’t figure out how, use our contact form to ask for help.

What happens if I change my prescription?

IF!? Your prescription is going to change. That is what happens as we age, unfortunately. We’ve catered for it. Just contact us and we’ll send out your next HAWKERS lenses according to your new requirements.

What happens if I want to interrupt my subscription, but not cancel it entirely?

No problem! Just visit your customer account area and deactivate your subscription temporarily.

Can I change my delivery address?

Yes. You can visit your customer profile area and change your delivery details. It’s easy to do, but if you have any problems or questions, contact our customer service and they’ll do it for you.

Do you send all over Spain?

We ship to mainland Spain. We also ship to the Balearic Islands, but only for orders of 70€ or more. Unfortunately, we don't currently ship to the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla.

Do you deliver internationally?

Yes, we do! You can sign up for a Hawkers Daily Contact Lens subscription if you live in Portugal, Italy, France or Germany. We are hoping to be able to service additional countries soon.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is FREE, except for the initial 10-day trial pack, for which you ONLY pay the shipping fee of 3.99€.

How long does an order take to arrive?

Mainland Spain.
Your order is prepared and shipped within 24H-48H. Delivery is made within 1-5 business days after shipping.

Can you tell me 3 interesting technical facts about your lenses that I may or may not understand?
Sure! How about these?
1. Our contact lenses are made of Somofilcon A (silicone hydrogel).
2. They have a water content of 56%.
3. They have a Dk/t value of 86.

Why would I use daily contact lenses?
Daily contact lenses are the best option for a variety of reasons. For example, because they are changed every day, they are more hygienic, and so reduce the risk of ocular infections. If that isn’t reason enough, they are also the most convenient, because you don’t have to worry about storage or lens liquid or cleaning or any of that malarky.
The question is really: why would you NOT use daily contact lenses?

What prescriptions do you offer?

We offer lenses for both myopia and hypermetropia.
For myopia, the prescriptions between -0.5 and -6.0 are available in increments of 0.25, and for prescriptions between -6.0 and -10.0 the increments are 0.5.
For hypermetropia, prescriptions between +0.5 and +6.0 come in increments of 0.25 and for prescriptions between +6.5 and +8.0 in increments of 0.5.

What do I do if I have a different prescription in each eye?

This is actually the most common situation. That’s why we ask you to specify the prescription for each eye.

Why do you only offer ONE Base Curve (BC) and ONE diameter (DIA)?

The BC and diameter DIA we offer are valid for the vast majority of contat lens users. The values are the general industry standard.

I use contacts with a different Base Curve or Diameter. Can I still use Hawers Daily Lenses?

Use our contact form to ask our team of opticians for advice. Our contact lens parameters are the general industry standards. If the contact lenses are comfortable, then there should be no problem.

Do you sell toric lenses for astigmatism?

Right now, we only supply lenses for customers without astigmatism.

Do you sell multifocal or bifocal contact lenses?

Right now, we don’t. However, we are looking at offering them soon. If you want us to let you know when they become available, please use our contact form to let us know and we’ll contact you when the great day arrives.

Do you sell coloured lenses?

No, we don’t. We might sell them in the future, though. If you want us to let you know when they become available, please use our contact form to let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

Do you sell fortnightly or monthly lenses?

We think dailies are by far the best option (see above), but we get that some of our clients have a different opinion. Please use our contact form to let us know if you are one such client, and if enough of you make enough noise, maybe we’ll start selling them!

What kind of payments do you accept?

We accept credit and debit cards from the big three: Visa, MasterCard and American Express. If you are making a one-off purchase you can use Paypal… but why would you do that, when you can get a trial pack and the subscription is way more economical??. We do not accept the following: IOUs and pledges, cryptocurrencies, bartering or cash-stuffed envelopes sent through the mail or left in a hollowed out tree trunk in the park at the stroke of midnight.

Do you accept medical insurance as payment methods?

No, we don’t. Not directly. But we can provide you with an invoice for you to send to your insurer so they can reimburse you if optical care is covered under the terms of your policy.

How do I get my hands on one of these invoices?

Use our contact form to ask us for an invoice and we’ll e-mail one out to you.

Who can use Hawkers Daily Contact Lenses?

We cover a fairly wide range of prescriptions, so the vast majority of people who need vision correction can use our lenses. The vast majority, but not all. If you are in any doubt, or have any questions use our contact form and we’ll clarify whether you are in that vast majority, or are a special case.

It is my first time using lenses.
Strictly speaking that isn’t a question, but we see where you are going with this. Let us put your mind at rest. At first, it can be a little uncomfortable,and getting them in and out is something you get better at with practice. You’ll get the hang of it quick.
We also send out a guide with advice on how to putyour lenses in (and take them out). We would also point out that our lenses are replacement lenses. If you are ordering lenses for the very first time, we recommend you visit your optician for advice on contact lens use in your specific case.

What happens if the lenses cause me discomfort?
Discomfort can be caused by a few factors. Start by taking them out, obviously! Next, put the lens on your fingertip and make sure the edges are pointing up (if they are back to front, the edge will point down and the lens will look kind of flat). If you see dirt or foreign material, then you can clean them (with lens cleaning liquid NEVER WATER!) or simply dispose of that lens and open a fresh, sterile lens.
If the discomfort persists, go see an optician about it.

Can a teenager use Hawkers Daily Contact Lenses?
Erm….yes. Is this a trick question?

Can I go swimming with my Hawkers Daily Contact Lenses in?
Swimming with any contact lenses in is not recommended. If you do go swimming, or if some idiot pushed you in the pool or off the boat or whatever and you have your contacts in, we advise you to put a new pair of dailies in ASAP to avoid possible eye infection.

Can I do sport with my Hawkers Daily Contact Lenses in?
As long as the sport isn’t an aquatic sport, then ABSLUTELY.

Can I use my Hawkers Daily Contact Lenses for longer than one day?
No. Our lenses are single use, daily lenses. The clue is the name.

Do you guys have an optician I can consult?
Yes. We have a team of semi-domesticated (and more or less housebroken) opticians who we have trained to answer client queries. Use our contact form to ask any questions you might have about our contact lenses.
